About Us
Our Club was founded in April 2011 when a need for a boxing club in the area of Palmerstown arose. A meeting was held in the Silver Granite between seven people who then became the committee and the ball was rolling.... or in boxing terms the first jab was thrown!
David Jones, Brendan Dunne and Lewis Phelan were extremly excited and passionate about becoming the clubs first coaches and this has turned out to be a formula for one of the best coaching systems seen in Irish boxing. David Jones has huge experience in MMA and fitness training. Brendan Dunne, former Olympian and first ever light fly weight Champion of Ireland and Lewis Phelan, former boxer and coach with CIE Boxing Club.
We have had many Leagues, Dublins and indeed our first ever female All Ireland Champion. This is down to hard work from the coaches and the committee, all of who dedicate their time on a voluntary basis. This club can only go forward with more success and more Champions.
